03/29/2010 -- BCKF member clubs provide support and participate in the recent FIK Shinpan Seminar for the Americas Region held on March 27th & 28th in Coquitlam, B.C. More information about the seminar can be found here.

02/08/2010 -- Renfrew Dojo recently hosted a series of practices with special guest Sensei Chinatsu Murayama from Japan January 30th to February 7th, 2010.

Murayama Sensei is currently a part of the Saitama Police force and is Renshi 6 dan. A 4-time All Japan Women's Kendo Championship winner, 2-time World Kendo Championships Team winner and winner of the All Japan Policewomen's Championship, Murayama Sensei is an extremely accomplished kendoist.

A Women's Kendo Seminar was held on Feb. 6 from 1pm - 4pm at the Steveston dojo in Richmond. An open practice for all BCKF members was held from 4pm - 6pm.
